MMDay @ Downside Up

Downside up is a unique organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities and their families build community through our creative spaces & experiences.

Shawnessey Cargile will host an evening with some very special musicians:

+ Joylene Green; known for an amazing voice and song lyrics that probe deeply into life.

+ Of August; who wrote the theme song for Make Music Day Chattanooga and brings enough passionate energy to the stage to move buildings.

+ In The Company of Wolves; the duo of Sydney and Brayden, who have taken the city by storm since arriving here. They produce the concert series, Concert for a Cause, where they raise funds and support for special causes around the city. They also are founders of Be The Change Youth Initiative where they serve youth who struggle with emotional and mental distress, especially youth suicide.

6:30 to 9 PM, music starts at 7 @ 621 East 11th Street, (off street parking lot with sign “Training Wheels.”

Open mic @ Chattanooga Brewing Co

Make Music Day Chattanooga has events happening all over the city on June 21st. This one at Chattanooga Brewing Company (CBC) will be a great place for music makers! Host jack Endelouz is a great singer songwriter and a great host! Come on down to hang with the music makers on Make Music Day

Scenic Roots

WUTC radio, the NPR affiliate for Chattanooga makes a special effort to support local arts. Scenic Roots is a program aired Monday – Friday at 3 PM with host Ray Bassett, who interviewed Mark Anderson, director of MMD Chattanooga.
